Blog Social Networking

Social Networking websites and apps are all over the internet now a day. People can chat with multiple people in front of their own computer or cell phone. Social Networking websites are giving us a lot of benefits.According to the article,"Facebook search: Facebook Adding Search Feature", Facebook is allow users to find to person that shares same hobbies, living in the same city, or even follow the superstars we like on their personal page, people are getting to browse other's photos, their place to live, their education level, etc.Social Networking websites like Facebook has a lot of different ways to use. People can even make money on Facebook, Youtube, etc. I've seen people and companies selling their produces or second-hand items on Facebook. Users of Youtubes are able to upload their own videos onto youtube, if their video got enough views and follows, they could make money out of that also. People are getting to see the different people's daily life on Facebook and Youtube, even talking with strangers with the topic you both interested in. Even though Blog Social Networking is giving us so many benefits, there are some dark sides of Blog Social Networking.Facebook can't keep user's private information away from the strangers, everyone who is using Facebook is able to view your information. According to the article, "Facebook Privacy is So Confusing Even the Zuckerberg Family Photo isn't Private", it mentioned that a stranger is able to view and leave the comment under Zuckerberg's private Photo. Facebook are not able to protect our personal information from the people we don't want our information to. Sometimes people are able to get user's personal phone number easily from Facebook, isn't that scary? I think our information technology is fast growing, and I believe in the future we can do more things on the internet.

  1. You raised very good points here, another dark side to social networking is cyber bulling. In the platform of social networking people can say anything they would like to say however they want. There are no rules, nobody is looking. This could cause a lot of issues especially for teenagers. I wouldn't want to be a teenager in today's world.
