Social Networking: Better or Worse than the Real Thing

Social Networking: Better or Worse than the Real Thing
In this world, information technology is filling up our daily life. People are putting most of their time on their cell phone and computer. people are communicating with people behind the screen, instead of talking with people face to face. This could be both good and bad. The good side of social networking is that people can easily communicate with people more efficiently. The message could go to the person in a second, and people are having no pressure when try typing at back of the screen. The bad side is that people are spending less time on the outside world. There is less communication between the people who are living in the same area as you do. People tend to put themselves into a fake internet world that we created. We are having distance with our friends and families, just like there is a "glass wall" between us, and that "glass wall" is what we call the internet.

  1. The world is going go a revolution, a digital revolution. The fact that you can put information out there and communicate with others in a matter of seconds is amazing and unbelievable, yet so simple and and not so exciting considering the fact that we grew up in this generation and are used to this. I agree with both points that you made. The bad side is something that we are not as familiar with, but our parents and their parents etc. are. They grew up without technology and know the beauty of living in a world without the internet, where you actually have to meet up with people to talk and hang out. Internet has its pros and cons, but one thing is for sure, it revolutionized the way we live.

  2. It's really interesting topic, especially in this day and age where relationships are created online, using dating apps, schools are using discussion boards to communicate with students and unfortunately also online bullying and other bad phenomenas. I think it will be avery intresting topic to research and write about.
